Here we explain the process of reproducing this historical tapestry. The front of the original Napoleon chair seat - shows the faded coloring that we chose to reproduce for its beauty - inheriting over 200 years of existence and use. There are so many pieces of Museum Quality Needlepoint rapidly disappearing in Europe - as Art Collectors know.

The back of the original tapestry - shows the bright - bold colors so typical of the Napoleon II era.

To reproduce this needlepoint chair cover - we first charted the original by hand - counting and - re-counting each needlepoint stitch carefully.

Many days were spent selecting the seventeen colors which would later be used to stitch the new needlepoint reproduction. Working off of the chart - stitching mistakes were made - removed - re-stitched and the reproduction was complete after three months of total - full-time dedication.

The finished Needlepoint Pillow Kits and Canvases as completed products required four more months - until the colors of canvas and the chart were faithful to this original needlepoint design. We later moved on to another color combination - bightening the inside scrolls and using a black background color.
